Head of Monitoring department
Kostadin Munev joined the Fund of Fund’s team as Head of Monitoring Department in June 2019.
Kostadin holds a Master’s Degree in Finance from the University of National and World Economy. He has a proven professional track record in the sphere of SME support, including also in the private sector. Since 2002 he has been working for the UN Development Programme JOBS Project, Central Coordination Unit in Sofia – initially Micro-Credit Consultant consequently Financial Leasing Manager. Since 2011, starting from Procurator and Head of the Credit and Leasing Department in MFI JOBS EAD (financial institution solely owned by the Bulgarian Development Bank) he became Member of the Board of Directors, reaching the level of Executive Director in the period 2014 until 2018. During that time, he managed and supervised approx. EUR 10 mln. portfolio with more than 400 individual clients. Mr Munev’s international experience is associated mainly with short-term assignments, such as micro-leasing expert to the UNDP Governance and Local Development Unit, Kazakhstan, in 2009; consultant to the Center for Entrepreneurship and Executive Development (CEED) in 2009; participant in the National Business Development Network (NBDN) – an association of 40 businesses support organizations in Bulgaria; and external adviser at Microfinance Centre for CEE and NIS, Poland, in 2006. Kostadin Munev has also contributed to a number of publications on the topic of microcredits and microfinance.
