First of the Year Mentor Coffee with Fund of Funds at UNWE
The Fund of Funds hosted "Mentor Coffee" with the Startup Hub at the Inter-University Career Development Center and students from the University of National and World Economy (UNWE). These meetings, organized for the second consecutive year, aim to provide future young entrepreneurs with the opportunity to receive expert advice on their innovative ideas and guidance on how to implement them.
The guest mentors were Engr. Dochka Vasileva, Head of the Project Information and Financing Department at the Fund of Funds, together with Ivaylo Ivanov, Director of Founder Institute Eastern Europe.
At the "Mentor Coffee with Fund of Funds," the attendees received answers to questions arising during the implementation of startup projects: what the first steps are, how to create a business plan, what team is needed and how to build it, which are the best sources of funding, how to work with investors, and more. Ivaylo Ivanov presented the work of the Founder Institute - the world's largest network for turning ideas into investment-attracting startups, which has supported over 7000 companies in more than 200 cities and 6 continents. He talked about the organization's 15-week accelerator program and advised students to ensure they have the skills, time, and all other necessary resources to move their idea from a starting venture to a successful product or service.
Eng. Dochka Vasileva shared with students the Fund of Funds' idea to organize a hackathon for innovative ideas in ecology. She invited UNWE students to actively participate in initiating the initiative, as well as to continue attending mentor coffees, especially when they have a business idea and need advice on implementing it or attracting investment.
"Mentor Coffee with the Fund of Funds" at UNWE is held every second week of the month in partnership with the Startup Hub at the Inter-University Career Development Center of the university. All UNWE students, as well as young people from other higher education institutions, are welcome to seek consultation for their business ideas during the meetings.
