The Fund of Funds signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation with the Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski

A national competition to distinguish the Best Youth Start-Up for 2022 is planned as part of the initiative.


The Fund of Funds (FoF) and the Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski (SU) signed an MoU on Cooperation.

The official event was held at the SU main building, the Rectorate. It was attended by Daniel Lorer, Minister of Innovation and Growth, Martin Gikov, FoF CEO and Chairman of its Board of Directors, Kamen Slavov, Member of the FoF Board of Directors, Prof. Dr Atanas Georgiev, Dean of the SU School of Economics, and other officials.

The MoU pledges to pool together the efforts of the two institutions in cooperating in the following main areas:

  • research and practical activities in the field of intellectual property and technology transfer, including in the creative and cultural industries, in their respective field of operation;
  • providing support for SU students in starting their own business, offering better chances for career development through joint initiatives, enhancement of the quality of their studies, etc.;
  • a range of joint initiatives for training purposes, setting up platforms for cooperation with other universities and third countries in areas of mutual interest, and strengthening international cooperation with countries in the region.

The Memorandum will contribute to the development of effective exchange of knowledge and ideas among academia, business and government institutions.

At the event, a national competition to select the 2022 Best Youth Start-Up was also announced. Further information will be provided in the course of the initiative.
